Since the first use of ultrasound in obstetrics practice, many new ultrasound technologies and innovations have been developed from the conventional 2D gray scale to the amazing 3D/4D and to the colour and power Doppler. The advancement in ultrasound techniques and its proven safety have enabled many prenatal diagnoses to be made allowing proper and timely interventions.

The art and skills of doctors need to grow simultaneously with these technical advances. Not only to achieve continuous medical education but more importantly to improve our ability to reduce perinatal morbidity and mortality and some life-threatening maternal conditions.

This ‘Advanced Ultrasound in Obstetrics— An Interactive Workshop’ aims to demonstrate the applications of new ultrasound techniques in Obstetrics. The participants will be equipped with relevant knowledge and skills to be applied in their daily practice.
